How to make SVG files for Cricut from PNG

Start with a clean PNG
Use a PNG with a transparent background and clear edges — the cleaner the raster, the crisper the cut paths.

In Design Space, choose Upload → SVG, select your file, then add it to canvas. Ungroup layers to cut by color.

Use PNG at 800px or larger for detailed designs — lower resolutions produce jagged paths.
Transparent backgrounds are essential; a white background will trace as an outer rectangle.
For vinyl and HTV, simplify designs to 2–4 colors for cleaner weeding.
Ungroup in Cricut Design Space, then set each layer to Cut or Print-Then-Cut.
Mirror HTV designs before pressing.
For intricate details, weld overlapping paths to prevent double-cuts.
Test cut on scrap material before committing to the full project.
