About
About FreeSVG
A free cut file library built by crafters who got tired of email walls, watermarks and files that fall apart on the mat.
FreeSVG started for a simple reason: finding a genuinely free SVG usually meant handing over an email address, waiting for a confirmation link, and then discovering the design was watermarked or had open paths that jammed the blade halfway through a cut. We wanted a library where you click download and the file saves — nothing else.
What we publish
The library is organized into 25 topic hubs and 500 categories, covering seasonal work, quotes and lettering, monograms, sports, faith, occupations, animals and design elements. Every design ships as an SVG, usually with a transparent PNG for print-then-cut and sublimation, and a DXF for Silhouette Studio Basic Edition where the shapes allow it.
How files are checked
- Paths are closed and node counts kept low, so the blade tracks the outline cleanly.
- Layers are separated by color, so multi-color designs are ready to cut without ungrouping guesswork.
- Small details are tested at realistic sizes — a pocket print, not a poster.
- No watermarks, ever, on the artwork or the preview.
How the site pays for itself
Advertising, and nothing else. There is no paid tier, no membership, no upsell after the download button. Ad slots are placed in fixed-height containers so the page does not jump while you are reading, and we do not run interstitials over the download step.
Using the files
Personal use is always free. If you plan to sell what you make, read the license terms first. New to cut files? Start with the guide to using SVG files or browse every category.
